Dr. Bourgon obtained a bachelor of science in Nutritional Biochemistry at the University of Vermont and returned to his home town of Detroit completing his medical doctorate at Wayne State University School of Medicine. Internship and radiology residency were completed at the University of Arizona Medical Center in Tucson. Fellowship training brought him to the University of California San Francisco. Dr. Bourgon’s fellowship was based in cross-sectional and MRI imaging with a subspecialty focus on Musculoskeletal MRI and Sports Medicine Imaging. Throughout his fellowship and private practice, Dr Bourgon has enjoyed the opportunity to frequently work with collegiate and professional athletes. For multiple years he has worked as a guest physician for the Ironman Triathlon World Championships in Kona, Hawaii.
Outside of the office Dr. Bourgon enjoys exploring the Bay Area as an amateur triathlete and is a five-time Ironman finisher.
